It’s time for dinner and a movie! This Autumn, celebrate the perfect taste of the English Countryside with great food and film, as new British comedy Tamara Drewe is released in cinemas nationwide on Friday 10th September, propelling seasonal West Country recipes to the fore!
The film, starring Gemma Arterton (Disney’s Prince of Persia), Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!) and directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen), tells the story of a beautiful young journalist who quits the city and returns to her West Country roots.
Tamara Drewe may make you laugh, make you cry or inspire you, but with an array of gastronomic pleasures featured throughout the film, it’s sure to make you hungry! Applewood Cheese have been inspired by the film and created a host of fantastic film-inspired recipes - plus we like this recipe for Autumn Apple Cake.
The UK premiere of Tamara Drewe, will be taking place on Monday 6th September, and you could be there too, thanks to Applewood Cheese. All of the cast are expected to attend the premiere including Gemma Arterton and Dominic Cooper.
